Special Forces’ suicide rates hit record levels - casualties of ‘hard combat’

Purported To be "The best"; It Follows They'd be The best At Topping Themselves Too!
The suicide rates for U.S. military members who serve in special forces, like the Navy SEALs and the Army Rangers, have hit all-time highs, said Adm. William McRaven, the head of Special Operations Command. The rate’s been high for two years, he said, Newsmax reported.
“And this year, I am afraid, we are on path to break that,” he went on at a conference in Tampa. “My soldiers have been fighting now for 12, 13 years in hard combat — hard combat — and anybody that has spent any time in this war has been changed by it. It’s that simple.”

  1. All trauma changes people. It is not the degree of trauma but the perception of impact and the individuals ability to sustain that. The danger arises in accordance with the length of time exposed to trauma, then the ability to sustain becomes decreased and the individual becomes in effect punch drunk and confused.

  2. When you make Killing your Business, you shouldn't be surprised that "Conscience" will inevitably resurface after the fact to torment and destroy you from within.
We ALL know the difference between right and wrong, and unless you possess the personality of a true Psycho/Socio-path, the basic "Humanity" within us will always overcome whatever Brainwashing and ideological training that's been pushed onto us in the name of "Defence Of The Realm".
When that happens, no amount of counselling can salve the conscience - hence the increase in self-destruction being witnessed.
It's the realisation of the EVIL they perpetrated that's killing them.
